Desert Sting Lightweight Precision Guided Weapon
The Desert Sting is a family of light weight, air platform released, precision guided, glide weapons (GGW). Desert Sting utilises inertial guidance augmented by global navigation satellite system (GNSS) information (GAINS). A semi-active laser (SAL) seeker configuration further improves accuracy performance against designated targets.
