GAU-22A Gunpod
The GAU-22/A is a 25mm four-barrel Gatling gun used in the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet, capable of firing up to 3,300 rounds per minute. It was developed by General Dynamics from the five-barrel GAU-12/U gun but is lighter, more compact, and more reliable due to its four-barrel design. The GAU-22/A is used internally on the F-35A model and in an external gun pod on the F-35B and C models.
