The pack is supposed to be about creating a pack of balanced equivalent weapons. Well, honestly we aren't there yet. But bear with me, there is some logic to the madness.
I have broken down the pack into classes to make it easier to consume. (One bite of the elephant at a time etc). The plan was to create the weapons I needed for my primary projects and then create their equivalent for each side. Now that in of itself is a pretty big task when it was about 12 - 15 weapons. But that kinda got out of hand… as it tends to do. So there are gaps. I don't know if i will ever find the time to fill them all but if i find a need to do it, rest assured my particular form of 'tism will ensure it happens.
Also please note:
I'm open to requests if people can convince me its worth the effort.
All weapons are APPROXIMATE equivalents. Not exact. The intent is to provide something close enough. Not identical.
Some weapon choices/equivalents come from different eras. This is primarily because its just a model I had already made. Other more appropriate selections may supplant them if/when I eventually make them..
BLUFOR vs OPFOR vs INDFOR choices are not a political decision on my part. You can choose to use what ever weapons you want on whatever side you want. I'm applying a loose logic filter to try and demonstrate equivalent capabilities. Typically:
UK/US kit is on BLUFOR because UK/US forces are on BLUFOR in the game.
Soviet/Russian/Chinese are typically OPFOR.
So things like Isreali/EU/French made kit that is not mainline NATO armament goes in INFOR.
